To acquire a flawless, long-lasting spray
tan requires a three step process:

1) Preparation

2) Spray Tanning Application

3) Maintenance

Ideally, you should shower, exfoliate and shave/wax prior to receiving your spray tanning services.  You should avoid applying lotions, perfumes, oils or heavy makeup or deodorants. This promotes even coverage and helps to extend the life of your tan.

Exfoliating your skin is highly recommended!  A sunless tan is developed on the outermost layer of your skin which is subject to a normal skin shedding cycle. At any given time, some layers of your skin may be ready to slough off while other parts may just have been renewed.  Exfoliating provides a consistent, fresh top layer of skin to serve as the base for your spray tan.  Be sure to pay special attention to areas of the body that are prone to rough skin patches like hands, knees, elbows, ankles and feet.

We also recommend that you schedule manicures, pedicures, facials and waxing services before you come in for your spray tanning services.

It is best to wear dark, loose fitting clothing and undergarments to your appointment.  The cosmetic bronzer will rub off on your clothing, but will wash out of most fabrics. Try to avoid wearing delicate fabrics such as silk, linens or nylons.

After receiving your tanning application services, it is extremely important to moisturize!  The active ingredient in our product, DHA, has a drying effect on the skin.  Proper moisturizing offsets this effect and prolongs the skin renewal cycle—resulting in a long lasting sunless tan!  Apply moisturizer twice daily after showering. This reduces the rate at which your skin naturally exfoliates and will keep your tan looking its best and lasting longer.

We suggest that you do not wet your skin for at least 4-8 hours after receiving your tanning services.   Avoid long, hot showers and soaking baths. We recommend using mild cleansers and avoid scrubbing your skin using loofahs, washcloths or exfoliating gloves. When you shower, do not be alarmed if the initial cosmetic bronzer washes off.  This is part of the tanning process and your skin will continue to tan. The longer you wait to shower/bathe – the darker your tan will become.

Important Advice:

If you feel you have highly sensitive skin, or have any doubts, we recommend a small localized test spray to check your skin compatibility before having your full body sprayed.

We request that you notify us if you have any respiratory or pulmonary conditions or are pregnant or nursing.  We do not provide spray tanning services to women in their first trimester of pregnancy.

Important Advice:

If you would like to shave after receiving your services, we recommend using a new, sharp razor with a moisturizer and avoid using shaving creams or oils.

We also recommend that you do not exercise or perspire excessively between your tanning services and showering—this could lead to streaking, fading or blotchiness.

Chlorine in swimming pools and hot tubs can remove or shorten the lifespan of your spray tan.

Our product does not provide any sun protection and does not contain sunscreen. We recommend visiting a dermatologist on a regular basis and strongly suggest you apply sunscreen to prevent sunburn whenever you will be participating in outdoor activities.
